Senior Women’s Soccer League Play-Off Schedule released:
Once I have confirmed the times for the finals on the turf I will notify all teams. Please remember to send in all original games sheets so the standings reflect the actual games played. I am still waiting for numerous game sheets. It is the HOME team’s responsibility to get the Original game sheet into the PEISA office. Please mail the sheets in or drop them off. The sooner you can get them in then it will be easier to complete the final standings. Good luck to all teams!!!!!!

win Senior Women’s Titles

Two Winsloe based teams won their respective championships in Piazza Joe’s senior women’s playoff action at the UPEI Soccer Complex on Friday evening.
Winsloe West Royalty Petrocan won the First Division Championship and Provincial Cup by defeating Sherwood Belvedere Esso by a score of 1 to 0 in extra time. Ellen Blanchard chipped a ball over the Sherwood keeper to end the game with a golden goal. This game was a defensive struggle with few scoring chances.
Winsloe West Royalty Sharp Group defeated Stratford Foleys Angels by a score of 3 to 1 to win the Piazza Joe’s Cup and premiere division playoff championship. Kristen Cameron scored the first goal for Sharp with a high shot from 25 yards early in the game. Kelly Cooper placed a beautiful high shot inside the left post off a free kick for the second Sharp goal. Kristina Weatherbie scored on a penalty shot late in the first half for Stratford to make the score 2 to 1 in favor of Sharp at the half. The only goal of the second half was scored off another free kick. Kelly Cooper placed a perfect pass to Lindsey Doucette, who buried the ball into the Stratford net for a 3 to 1 Sharp lead. Lori MacFarlane stopped all remaining shots from Stratford to preserve the victory.
